Leap2Peak – International Learning Venture is inviting you to join us on an amazing learning adventure. A year-long program filled with learning opportunities, networking events and lots of fun. We are accepting applicants for the 2016/17 season.

Be part of a unique learning venture that will take you on a journey of self-realization, empowerment and sustainable change. 8 camps, 25 training courses and 20 social and cultural events are waiting for you. We are ready to offer you an amazing year of innovative learning, inspiring moments, new people and loads of fun. Take a leap for a lasting change!

 

Notes:

- Take a look at the training list below and decide which ones you are interested. If you are accepted and invited to an interview, you can choose which ones you would like to attend.

- All training sessions are from Friday to Sunday except “Training for Trainers”, which is for 5 days & K99, which lasts 99 hours.

- Each training has more than one date option.

- For now, please complete the application below and wait for our reply via email, which will take 1 to 2 days.

Training List

 

Training: Expedition K99 (99 Hours)

Category: Adventure-based training

Dates: October 12th – 16th / October 19th – 23rd / May 3rd – 7th / May 10th – 14th

Trainer: Marko Gazivoda

Details: 99-hour long experiential learning experience aiming to prove that individuals are usually more capable (mentally, emotionally and physically) than they perceive themselves to be and, if given the opportunity to TRY in a supportive atmosphere, they can discover this excellence within themselves.

 

Training: Reveal old Nicosia

Category: Soft skills training

Dates: October 28th – 30th/ February 25th – 27th/ March 17th – 19th

Trainer: Orestis Tringides

Details: Walk into an alley and turn your head, that's all it takes. Nicosia is a war-torn city. Divided in two, Old Town Nicosia bears the scars of war and separation. The events of the past have left many of the parts of Old Nicosia that used to bustle with life, in desolation and abandonment. This is an amazing tour of the Old City of Nicosia, which could shape your future by experiencing someone else’s past using the focus of your camera.

 

Training: Who am I? Personality explored

Category: Soft skills training

Dates: November 4th – 6th/ November 11th – 13th/ February 11th – 13th /March 10th – 12th

Trainer: Ebru Deniz Tekman

Details: A training course that will help you discover who you are and why you do things the way you do.

 

Training: Road to resilience

Category: Soft skills / Entrepreneurship skills

Dates: November 18th – 20th/ November 25th – 27th/ March 24th – 26th

Trainer: Marko Gazivoda

Details: How do people deal with difficult events that change their lives? This training intends to help participants with taking their own road to resilience. It is going to describe resilience and the factors that affect how people deal with hardship. Much of the training focuses on developing and using a personal strategy for enhancing resilience.

 

Training: Self-expression and boosting confidence

Category: Soft skills training

Dates: December 2nd – 4th/ December 9th – 11th

Trainer: Marta Felix

Details: Experience a fast and effective approach that will enable you through the use of acting skills to break through your barriers of expressing yourself powerfully in the world (no matter how inhibited or self-conscious you are) – whilst at the same time having an enormous amount of fun.

 

Training: Social entrepreneurship

Category: Entrepreneurship skills

Dates: December 9th – 11th / December 16th- 18th

Trainer: Richard Catherall

Details: This course will examine entrepreneurship and enterprise generation as a key foundation of the development of both economic and social capital, as well as individual and community empowerment. Its main emphasis will be the exploration of entrepreneurship with an imperative to drive social change and build sustainable ventures.

 

Training: Leadership for change

Category: Soft skills

Dates: December 16th – 18th / December 23rd – 25th/ March 3rd - 5th

Trainer: Marko Gazivoda

Details: Leadership is a set of skills that anyone can acquire. Responsible leadership depends upon flexible behavior; the ability to diagnose what behaviors are needed at a particular time in order for the group to function most efficiently; and the ability to fulfill these behaviors or to get other members to fulfill them.

 

Training: Life and carrier goal setting

Category: Entrepreneurship skills

Dates: January 9th – 11th/ January 12th – 14th

Trainer: Ajsa Hadzibegovic

Details: Having a clear vision of the end state we are trying to achieve before we take action to reach our goals is the key factor in accomplishing any goals that we set. Do you have a clear mental image of who you will be in the future? Your vision is a “picture” of what you aspire to – and what inspires you – in your work life. Articulating your vision statement for your career is the first step in helping you eventually reach your career goals.

 

Training: Training for trainers

Category: Soft skills

Dates: January 13th - 17th/ January 20th - 24th

Trainer: Marko Gazivoda

Details: Gain a practical, how-to overview of the entire training function. Through modeling of the best practices and latest techniques in training delivery, discover the 4Ps of training: Purpose & Assessment, Planning & Preparation, Presentation & Facilitation, and Performance & Evaluation. New trainers will gain a strong foundation in critical training skills and seasoned trainers will be introduced to new approaches for delivering powerful training.

 

Training: Constructive Conflict Transformation

Category: Soft skills

Dates: February 6th – 8th / February 9th – 11th

Trainer: Snezana Baclija Knoch

Details: We all experience conflict in our lives. Handled poorly, conflict can be demoralizing and destructive. It can undermine relationships, performance and productivity. It can result in lost connections and lost friendships, and make life miserable. This training provides the tools to troubleshoot and diagnose the causes of conflict, expand your repertoire of interpersonal styles, and incorporates a range of practical negotiation strategies to work together more effectively and manage conflict more constructively.

 

Training: Right to Rights

Category: Soft Skills

Dates: February 4th – 6th / February 18th – 20th

Trainer: Mertkan Hamit

Details: Fresh new interpretation and in-depth examination of the concept of the 'right to have rights' in the context of the international protection of human rights.
